Spartans & Gophers to Battle for 2018 CCLA D1 Crown Sunday

#1 Seed Michigan State (13-1) will play the #2 Seed Minnesota Gophers (7-6) at noon EDT Sunday, April 22 for the CCLA D1 Tournament Championship and an Automatic Qualifying Bid to the 2018 MCLA National Championship in Salt Lake City May 7-12. 

The Spartans, ranked fourth nationally, advanced to the final by way of a forfeit by the #4 seed University of Pittsburgh. The Gophers dispatched tournament #3 seed Davenport University, 15-8, in the other semifinal April 21. 

Since joining the CCLA in 2017, Minnesota has played Michigan State once each season in Februrary. The Spartans have won each contest by a single goal.

 The CCLA Tournament is being held at the Chelsea Football Stadium, 615 N Freer Rd, Chelsea, Michigan 48118.
